The first day of all the workshops consists of covering, and participants will learn to cover, line and dress three previously blocked buckram frames. I will provide the frames along with black or white linings and grosgrain for the inside of the crown. Attendees must supply their own outter covering and embellishments.
The second day will consists of frame making. I will provide materials to make three buckram frames, however attendees may purchase additional supplies to make more. During the second day attendees will block wire and completed no less than three hat frames including one with a brim of their choice. The hat frames made during these workshops may be covered at the participant’s leisure, utilizing the skills from the first day. All attendees are encouraged to make as many buckram frames as time permits.
All these workshops are considered beginner hat making, no more than ten attendee may attend each workshop, and attendees must have some basic sewing knowledge. The registration fee for the two-day workshops is $350.00 per person, unless previous arrangements have been made in advance. Those paying partial registration fees to secure seats, must pay the balance through Paypal a week prior to the workshop, or cash the day of the workshop. No checks will be accepted on that day. REFUND POLICY:
1. Anyone submitting registration fees will be refunded the total they submitted if I have to cancel a workshop because of weather or low enrollment.
2. They will be refunded their registration fees if they are unable to attend because of family emergencies. ( It is understood unseen events sometimes occur, so I expect to be notified as soon as possible by phone or e-mails prior to workshop show dates and times within reason).
3.No-Shows will not be refunded; anyone who pays for a workshop and does not show up.
